May Round Up

I don’t know about anywhere else (because I don’t watch the news or follow the news via social media) but her in the UK we have been having some fantastic weather. The only drawback for me though is that I don’t like pollen, or I should say my body doesn’t!! Meaning that I’m on my 3rd round of steroids for my asthma. I’ve also been put on some new medications to help and I’ve also now been told that I’m in the high risk for catching Covid-19. The amount of steroids I’ve had and am having have lowered my already low immune system. I was self isolating to be safe as with my ME/CFS I always pick up infections and viruses so quickly, but now that I’ve been told to stay in I want to go out. Thank goodness I have a front and back garden, where I can sit out and read. As well as the reading I also have my happy place to go to, which is my craft room. So I have plenty to keep me busy.

I’m still behind in my Goodreads 2020 reading challenge but I hope with this good weather it’ll make me want to read more as its so nice to be able to read outside. Instead of catching up with all the different shows that are available on Netflix, as I’ve only just subscribed to that. My watch list is growing just like my TBR list grows each month and this doesn’t even include all of the latest series on Sky that I’m recording. I could do with more hours in the day, don’t you think? To fit everything in.

The good news for May’s round up, which I still can’t believe!! YES I have managed to read 7 books during May (you’ll find them all listed below). This is the most I’ve managed to read in one month so far this year. This May I have also managed to review 5 books with a few more reviews to write as always, but I guess it wouldn’t be me if I’d completely caught up with my reviews.  So Lets see what June will bring. I hope you and your families are still staying healthy and safe.

May’s Favourite Book Blitz Cover
May’s Favourite Cover Reveal
May’s Favourite BookBub Cover

So the reasons for this months favourite book covers for the four different categories are:

The Name of Red: I think this cover looks quite mysterious, as the woman in the red dress really stands out.

Nightingale: I didn’t have any other choice but to choose this cover as it was the only cover reveal this month. I think men would like this cover more than I do.

Heartache in Heels: Well I just had to choose this one for two reasons. Firstly for those who know me I love my high heels and have a great collection of heels. Secondly its a nice bright girly cover.
