Welcome to this weeks Top Ten Tuesday. Originally created by The Broke & The Bookish, which is now hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week it features a book or literary themed category. This weeks prompt is:
Characters I’d Name a Pet After:
(These could be your own pets (present or future), you could pick 10 different animals and tell us the name and animal type, or you could choose 10 names that would make fun cat names, etc. Put your own spin on this one!) (submitted by Nushu @ Not A Prima Donna Girl)
Pigs names:

Wilbur from Charlottes Webb
by E B White
Some Pig. Humble. Radiant. These are the words in Charlotte’s Web, high up in Zuckerman’s barn. Charlotte’s spiderweb tells of her feelings for a little pig named Wilbur, who simply wants a friend. They also express the love of a girl named Fern, who saved Wilbur’s life when he was born the runt of his litter.
E. B. White’s Newbery Honor Book is a tender novel of friendship, love, life, and death that will continue to be enjoyed by generations to come. This edition contains newly color illustrations by Garth Williams, the acclaimed illustrator of E. B. White’s Stuart Little and Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House series, among many other books.

Peppermint from The Peppermint Pig
by Nina Bawden
Johnnie was only the runt of the litter, a little peppermint pig. He’d cost Mother a shilling, but somehow his great naughtiness and cleverness kept Poll and Theo cheerful, even though it was one of the most difficult years of their lives.
Cats names:

Banana from Sleeping with the Enemy
by Nancy Price
She is a stranger in a small town. She changed her name. Her looks. Her life. All to escape the most dangerous man she ever met: her husband.
These are the only names that have ever stood out to me from books I’ve read. However I’ve always had names that I’d like to call certain animals if I had them:
- Chickens: Poach & Scramble
- Sheep: Woolly & Jumper
- Goats: Billy & Kid
- Pig: Wilbur & Peppermint which I’ve already mentioned above.
Names of my Pets:
I had a Cat and Dog who sadly passed away nearly 8 years ago. My dog was called Whisky and my cat was called Soda
The two cats I have now, who are brother and sister are called Zippy the male and Bubbles the female.

Until next week.
So many cute names and furry friends! Great post. Have a great reading week. ❤️ Here’s a link to MY POST in case you’re interested.
