Reading List

How long is your reading list? Mine had been growing daily over the last few months. I have just updated my latest purchases to my Goodreads account. I now have a grand total of one thousand and twenty nine books listed on it. This doesn’t include the books that I have been given permission to read before their publication date from NetGalley. I think I maybe right when I said in my About Me page that I have no idea if I’ll ever get to the end of my reading list in this lifetime.

Am I the only person that is so obsessed with books and reading that their reading list is ever growing with no sign of stopping? I’m sure I’m not, but the only other person in my life that read as much as I do now was my dad.

I only know of a couple of friends that do read the occasional book, usually when on holiday, but the majority of my friends just don’t see the point in reading. Which is “What you don’t READ!!!!!!” How can people not read?

OK so I know that there are people out there that would love to read but due to illness and bad health they are unable to, because of this some listen to audiobooks. Which I would still class as reading because as your listening to the book you will still conjure up the same images in your minds eye as you would if you were physically reading.

But and it a big but capital letters BUT!!! I just don’t understand people that have no interest in reading. Why? Are they to lazy to read, no imagination to conjure up images in their minds eye unless its shown to them on the big screen?

As most people know from experience that films are never quite like the books. There are a few exceptions that I can think of, off the top of my head that the book and film were just as good. That being J K Rowling’s Harry Potter series, both books and films were as good as each other.

A small part of one of my Favourite Bookshelves.
